
GREGORY A. CARRIGAN NAMED
VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS
NEWTOWN, Conn. May 25, 2006
Gregory A. Carrigan has been appointed Vice President, International Business Operations, effective June 1. In this position he will be responsible for BMI’s marketing, sales and sourcing functions in Asia and Europe. He will report to Peter D’Amico, President and CEO.
Before joining BMI, Carrigan held various management positions in manufacturing, industrial relations, finance, commercial trading and logistics with leading cement manufacturers, including General Portland, Lafarge North America, Cementia Trading A.G. and, most recently, Florida Rock Industries. As the Florida Operations Manager with Florida Rock Industries, he led manufacturing and sourcing for two grinding facilities in the Tampa Bay area, which collectively produce approximately 1.5 million tons of cement annually. In this role he
gained extensive experience in producing specialty products, such as masonry, stucco and Type III cements and also finely ground blast furnace slag meeting a Grade 120 specification.
Carrigan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Texas State University.
